Hughes Net SUCKS!!!
The worst provider ever, none of there customer care folks or Technicians speak English and make you say everything 5 or 6 times. Will not give any assistance. Hughes Net takes your money and will continually raise your rates as they see fit and if you question them they hang up on you!!! Horrible, Terrible, Worse Company for Internet PERIOD!!! DO NOT EVER USE HUGES NET THEY SUCK!!!!!

Who's using my data allowance?
Sixty dollars for 10GB was adequate until a month ago. Live in a rural area and satellite is my only option. So who/what is eating up my data allowance? I don't think it's me! The only thing that's changed is my new computer with Windows 10. Spoke with customer service, and my data was rapidly disappearing as we spoke.

Poor quality upload/download; indifferent customer service
Expensive. Unreliable. Slow. Liars. No customer service. We are finished in a few months and will never use this service. We're now using hotspot with cell phone which is so much better - and cheaper! Hughes Net should be out of business.

can't deliver even half promised band width
False advertising. they delivered about 90% of the time dial-up speeds. I would complain, they would tweak the system a little and that would last maybe an hour or two. then back to dial-up speeds. not paying for something I can get for free from Juno or NetZero.

Poor internet service
I, too have a similar experience with Hughes Net and Direct TV. Direct TV made similar claims when I signed up with them. At first I had the 10gb internet package, which was insufficient for my needs. I then upgraded to the best package they have for my area - 15gb. For $89.99 mo it is definitely NOT worth it. I can't stream anything! Forget watching Netflix or anything else. I definitely would not recommend them if this is all of the internet speeds they have available in this area.

Terrible service
They added 384.00 to my bill for restore tokens I did not order. They then told me their system won't let them fix it so I have to pay it. I do not recommend this service at all go somewhere else because hughesnet just wants your money...

My husband and I were misinformed
I would not recommend HughesNet to anyone. When we first signed up with Direct TV we were offered to use HughesNet. Well they promise faster downloads which is incorrect, and they don't tell you that you are only going to receive 5GB per month for $73. . When we called about the problem we were having with the internet being so terribly slow they said it was due to using the 5GB and the new billing cycle just began 5 days ago. We also explained that we have been having this problem for months and that we would like a new modem. Well guess what we were denied. What is the point of having this service if it is just as slow as dial-up? So then we were told that we could up our data to 20GB and it would be $125 a month, and we asked how much for the max GB and we were told that was the max. more...
