Defective Equipment and Non-Extant Service
Comcast/Xfinity holds a monopoly or at best a duopoly in my area. They provided defective equipment and failed to provide service, including wholly failing to appear at an appointed time. They maintain deceptive records, stating that another time was offered, omitting that the time offered was not possible for me. I lost several hours just trying to get them to provide service. I lost an entire afternoon when they failed to appear for an appointment. Although they advertise that they will require availability within a two hour window, they demanded that I be available for a longer interval, and then failed to appear. What a JOKE!
I have Comcast at home AND Comcast Business at my office. BOTH of them drop signal multiple times daily and/or go offline COMPLETELY without fail. Comcast's Customer Service will feed you the same baloney time and again about the issues with their service being 'scheduled maint.' or some other 'issues in your area'. AVOID THEM IF YOU CAN HELP IT!!!!

Comcast sucks!!!!
I've given them a one star rating because the system won't let me do no stars. Four days ago a neighbor's tree fell across our lot and took down power and comcast cable. Comed restored power within 24 hours -- still waiting for Comcast. They were supposed to come yesterday but they didn't show and they didn't bother to call to say they weren't coming either. Called customer service multiple times -- each time the person was polite and courteous and NO HELP. Also, just FYI, apparently when you call customer service the calls go to call centers in either the Philippines, Colombia or Mexico. Absolutely appalling service, am looking for an alternative provider right now. more...

HD vs Standard
I recently found out I am paying 20$ extra for HD boxes when I don't have an HD TV! I asked the installer about this & was told this was what was available. Now I have the option of bringing the boxes to a local? Comcast office & exchanging them! I think a better option is to get rid of the ever increasing Comcast!

Horrible Company!
They want you to pay a bundle for slow internet! Only new customers get a discount, they will do NOTHING but excessively raise the rates, without notice, for existing customers. Their customer service department is worthless. My experience is very similar to these other post! Save yourself money and aggravation, do business with someone else.

In one year my internet cable bill (I don't have any bundle - just internet access) has gone from $49 to $94 - with no appreciable increase in so-so service and no explanation given. Why do they think they can do this ... oh, yeah, because they think they have a monopoly ... well, they may think so, but I'm otta here very soon.

Can't Wait To Switch Out of Comcast
The past few months have been nothing but trouble for our family and Comcast. They jack up our rates every month or two and the internet is horrible. It constantly goes out out of nowhere and I'm almost 100% they have been throttling my internet because any time after 9pm, my internet signal drops down to practically nothing. As someone who works primarily from home and almost always in the later hours of the night, my internet is very important for me to get any kind of work done. The past few years have been nothing but problems and the past three months have been at least 10 times worse. I regret letting this go on and not trying to switch sooner. more...

Internet Speed is a lie.
I have never received even half of the advertised speed of 75 Mbps. Comcast is an extremely poor company to deal with but they have the cable monopoly in Jacksonville so there is no other choice.

Bad service, poor quality, frequent issues, bill growing
During the first two months cable and internet worked properly. Since a month ago internet is running awful and cable is having issues every day. Image freezing every 3 seconds. Bad quality services.

The WORST Provider EVER
Comcast is absolutely the worst provider ever! They do not care about their customers, offer horrid customer service, will not compensate you for losses derived by their mistakes, make excuses for everything and charge you endlessly even if they are to blame! On one instance, I spent over 7 1/2 hours on the phone with them, was hung up on repeatedly, given the run-around, and ultimately charged for over 2 months of phone services that I never received. 8 months later, I STILL have not received a credit for the phone services that they disconnected AFTER I had paid my bill! And to top it off, they had the nerve to charge me re-connection fees for services that they disconnected AFTER my bill was paid! Run as fast as you can away from Comcast! If there's another provider in your area, I suggest that you go with them, even if what they are offering is less than. Time to get rid of a BAD relationship!
I have tried to be understanding with this company, but when they jacked my bill from $29.95 to $50.00/month and did not give me any improvement in service then I say it is time to move on! I have paid my bills on time all I get is outages and excuses. So MOnday morning I will place the call that cancels my subscription. So LOng Sucker!

No Deal
I have been a Comcast customer for 11 years but when I ask our local office about any deals for upgrading it always no deal. New customers are always offered great deals but not long reliable customers. I have paid Comcast over 15000 dollars in 11 years. I pay 145 dollars a month for Triple Play all basic stuff. Not happy.

Good performance but poor cost structure
After one year on a promotional offer my bill went way up and I could only bring it part way down with a two-year contract. They did not bother to tell me this would happen, it just appeared on my bill, and it is not playing fair in my book.

Data usage
I went from less than 1 for data usage to over 300. I\'m a teacher so I\'m gone all day, I don\'t do gaming or whatever it\'s called, I do watch Netflix which I have done for at least 5 yrs. and never had a problem. I have cable and internet but don\'t even have the box hooked up because the cable goes out all the time. I call the data people and they give me things to do but don\'t look into the problem or listen to me.

COMCAST IS A MONOPOLY HERE
Since it is a monopoly, Comcast overcharges for everything and delivers poorly. We are seasonal FL residents and each year have difficulty with Comcast. We have basic triple play but still pay $127/month that includes the fees or $109 without fees. We got a leaf antenae and a smart tv and have much better TV BUT if we get rid of our phone and our TV with Comcast, they will charge us $88/month for basic internet!! Outrageous. Also outrageous is that we have their legacy modem, legacy tv boxes and pay the same as the new ones! 2 weeks ago we got wise after horrendous internet and TV and called asking for their latest modem and boxes (we can not connect our new samsung smart tv to these 10 year old boxes() = comcast said that they would priority mail us their new ones. WELL, we received another modem - BUT it is the same one we have = it is old and not the x-1 AND they did not send the new x-1 TV boxes!! I called them and the "canceled the TV x-1 HD boxes because they need a technician to install them". Although they waived the technician fee, they can not schedule us for any earlier than 1 week! Meanwhile we are charged the same amount for their old tech that doesn't work well! We bought a leaf antenna that is great with our new smart tv = we get free about 30 channels including PBS and HD content plus the apps on the TV have superior content to Comcast or cable TV content. We want to cut the cord but Comcast jacked up the cost for our basic internet only service to $88 vs $109 that includes TV and phone. They refuse to give us the same $30/month cost as new customers although we have been their customer for 11 years. This is so wrong on so many levels. Plus they normally charge now for a technician to "install" the new x-l tech and will not provide it otherwise so you have no choice but to pay for decent internet, TV, phone. Whats wrong with this picture? OUR taxes paid for the technologies that these ISP providers are using; they usually make the customer wait for hours in line to get help at their centers and to install the providers tech. We feel like we are doing their work for free! Then they charge you for their technician to install their new tech and you have no choice but to pay them to have the internet which actually today is a commodity! AND when you call them...if you can find their number as they make it difficult to find, you are subjected to a horrendous automated menu. If you succeed in getting a person, it is never the department that deals with whatever your issue is and you are routed to between 2-4 people. Then when you think it is resolved...no...but they don't call, or email you although they have all your personal information and sure use it for billing you but not for providing good services. Comcast is overpriced (particularly for existing customers), poor services, poor customer support at they say one thing and the reality is always different. WiFi isn't supported
After multiple service calls and two hookups failing, we finally got our Xfinity set up in our apartment, but our computers continually fail to connect to WiFi and often experience abysmally slow speeds when the connection does go through. When I spoke to a technician, she informed me that WiFi is considered a courtesy service, and connection speed and quality isn't guaranteed on any level. The folks who helped us out were always kind and professional, but the internet has been consistently abysmal. With just one device, surfing the net is prohibitively slow, with loading times over ten minutes for a single web page. Services like Netflix and Spotify are unusably slow. more...

Comcast is garbage
Since I have moved to this area 2 years ago and with comcast the only available cable company I have literally never had a stable internet connection. The speed greatly fluctuates but usually sits at the low end and has never reached the advertised speed. I've gone through 3 modem/routers and have had many serviceman to my house with no change. The problem lies with the ISP and comcast is the worst.

Awesome speed
I moved to a new apartment and for some reason, this apartment complex only allows Comcast cable. So I called and explained the importance of bandwidth speed because sometimes I use Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu. I have package for both the internet and cable TV since 6 months. I am experiencing fastest internet speed I have ever used! It works well for my PS3 and laptop! Their service is very awesome and I would most definitely recommend them to everyone.

Unreliable Service, Copyright poppups obscure web content
While the speed sounds like a good thing, Comcast service completely fails on a regular basis. Even when it works, Comcast will frequently overlay your webpages with Copyright pop-ups as a "friendly harassment service" when the major studios provide them with your IP address. Comcast really needs competition in the marketplace and, once it appears, they will no doubt be put out of business quickly.
